BEAR CREEK AREA There are 10 waterfalls in the Bear Creek drainage near Baker Lake. Of these, I have thus far documented 9 of them in person. The lower stretch of Bear Creek, just before it enters Lake Shannon, is one of the better family-friendly waterfall hikes in the area. While this is not an official trail and can be brushy and muddy at times, it is relatively easy to follow and most people with any semblence of physical conditioning should be able to visit Laplash and Klahanie Falls.
