Cavern Falls consists of 3 small drops.  The first is a punchbowl about 6' tall in a very deeply recessed gorge that looks a bit like a cave, hence the name.  This is followed immediately by a small 3' drop.  The final drop is a very pretty little fan of about 8' tall.   The top tier is very difficult to get a view of.  It requires walking across a wet, slippery log that is less than a foot in diameter.  It is also very difficult to view all three tiers in one spot.

DIRECTIONS - Take the ferry to Orcas Island.  Upon disembarking, turn left and drive along the road for around 25 minutes until you enter Moran State Park.  After passing Cascade Lake, take the left fork in the road and drive for about 1/2 mile to the trailhead for this and 4 other falls.  The trail is around 1.5 miles to see all of the falls.
