Coal Creek may well consist of nothing but waterfall(s) for about 1600 vertical feet.  The waterfall definitely contains the two-tiered 150' tall waterfall seen here.  From across the valley, this waterfall is barely visible and certainly not very impressive, but it appears to be a pretty and probably very photographic waterfall if one could find a clear view from up close.  Below there are most likely many other tiers or perhaps separate waterfalls.  A thorough exploration of the creek will need to be done at some point in the future.  In the mean time, this page is simply to document that the creek does indeed contain at least one waterfall.  Coal Creek itself is a small creek, fueled by melting snow and as such its volume will run pretty low once the snow is gone for the year.
DIRECTIONS - Coal Creek Falls can be seen across the valley en route to Skyline Falls.  It should also be possible to bushwhack to the base of the falls from Glacier Creek Road, but I'm not sure how much of the waterfall will be seen, or what part of the waterfall can be seen.
