Located just north of Darrington, this small creek begins in a couple of small lakes known as Prairie Mountain Lakes.  The creek sort of meanders along for about a 1/4 of a mile before encountering a 400' tall cliff and plunging in a series of drops.  The part of the waterfall that can be seen from the road is around 150' tall, but the entire waterfall may be taller than that.  It is possible to get up close to the falls via a maze of logging roads, but I haven't solved that maze yet.  The lakes are pretty small so I imagine that late in the summer this creek is reduced to a trickle.
DIRECTIONS - From Darrington, drive north on Hwy 530 for about 2 miles and turn right onto Sauk-Prairie Road.  Follow this for 7 miles to a T in the road and turn left.  Follow this for about 3 miles until you see the falls off to your right.  It is possible to get up close to the falls, but I haven't done it yet.
