SISTERS GLACIER FALLS

RATING - 34.0

VR - 4.0 (Med/Sm)               HR - 8.0                  SR - 2/20

TYPE - Segmented

HEIGHT - 400'

WIDTH - 1000'

TYPE OF APPROACH - Roadside

DIFFICULTY - Very Easy

LOCATION - Middle Fork Nooksack Road

This series of waterfalls occurs along the melt streams coming the small glacier on the north side of the Sisters Range.  The streams are all small and the view from across the valley is long distance so this isn't really worth the trouble of driving up the very rough road unless you are already going up there for some other reason (nice view of Baker and Warm Creek Falls are 2 such reasons).  It should be possible to get a closer view using the logging roads on the south side of the Middle Fork, but this would involve a long road walk or bike ride.  From up close, this would be an impressive site and the rating would go up substantially.

DIRECTIONS - Head east on the Mt. Baker Highway and turn south onto Mosquito Lake Road.  Soon you will drive through the community of Happy Valley.  Turn left onto Middle Fork Road.  Turn left onto Warm Creek Road (first road after the big bridge over Clearwater Creek.  Follow the road up, looking across the valley at the Sisters Range as you go.  You should see the falls.

NEARBY WATERFALLS - Lower Wallace Creek Falls, Warm Creek Falls
