Swift Creek Trail

Swift Creek Trail is a rarely used trail that leaves the Lake Anne Trail near Artists Point and works its way southeast, eventually ending by Baker Hot Springs.  The headwaters of Swift Creek are one of the most waterfall-heavy areas in the state with at least 22 waterfalls in the general area.  So far, we have documented 21 of these waterfalls, including Ptarmigan Falls, which is the tallest waterfall in the Mt. Baker region.  None of these creeks have names, so we have chosen to name many of the waterfalls Nooksack Indian words (or at least our English versions of these words).  Many of the waterfalls are only cross valley views.  While most of these waterfalls can be seen from the trail, remember that the trail itself is not maintained so you need to be in good physical condition to embark on this adventure.
