Located a short distance upstream from Adsaloos Falls is this equally pretty
upper falls. Rocky Creek tumbles 22' in two steps into a massive, 30'
deep pool of water that would make for an excellent swimming hole if it
wasn't for the copious amount of mosquitos circling the pool and it wasn't
so dang difficult to get to. In addition the water is stained a
golden-brown color, probably due to tanic acid, that takes away a bit of the
desire to dive headfirst into the water. All that being said, this is
a gorgeous location. A large log has dammed the creek up, creating the
huge pool and a large vertical cliff wall dominates the left side of the
pool. It's very difficult to get here, but it is a stunning locale. |
