Someone told me there was a 50' tall waterfall on the upper stretches of Racehorse Creek.  Either I got the directions wrong or his estimate was just a tad off.  While not 50' tall, this waterfall is a beauty, dropping over two tiers of 15' and 5' in height.  The pool at the bottom of the bigger tier is a perfect swimming hole.  So much so that on a perfect summer day I decided to jump off the falls into the pool.  I have to imagine the falls are much more punchbowl-like when the creek is running high (something I plan to find out for sure this winter).  A short distance downstream was a really cool stretch of creek where it ran over a 300' long stretch of bedrock at an angle of about 5 degrees.  While this trip is tough, it can easily be combined with Triple Crown Falls for a little 2-for-1 deal.
DIRECTIONS - Follow the directions to Racehorse Falls but continue straight over the bridge across the creek instead of making the last right turn.  Follow this road, turning right at each of the 3 junctions.  Park at the bridge and follow the creek downstream for around a mile to the falls.  It's tough going.
