DINNER CREEK FALLS

CLACKAMAS COUNTY

DIRECTIONS - Take any of several routes into the town of Estacada, SE of Portland.  From there, drive east along Highway 224 to around Milepost 44 where the creek and falls should be easily viewable.
LOCATION - North Fork Clackamas River

TYPE - Cascades

HEIGHT - 15'

WIDTH - 5'

RATING - drop.jpg (2030 bytes)

TYPE OF APPROACH - Roadside

DIFFICULTY - Very Easy

NEARBY WATERFALLS - Deer Creek Falls There are some out there who would argue that this really isn't even a waterfall.  For the most part the creek just runs over some nice mossy boulders.  There is one small section of the creek that drops over back-to-back sliding drops on the bedrock which is the only reason I've added the site.  The falls are also right next to the road and on the way to the trailhead for Pup Creek Falls which I still haven't had a chance to hike into yet.  (Grrr!)

Left - Only the two drops at the top of this run are actually over bedrock.  The rest of the drops are over talus boulders.
