MERRITT FALLS

DESCRIPTION – Merritt Falls occurs where a small, unnamed stream drops around 200' off the side of a cliff near the town of Merritt.  The Lake Ethel trail gets pretty close to the bottom of the falls so bushwhacking to the base appears to be quite possible, although I haven't tried it.

DIRECTIONS – Merritt Falls can be seen from Highway 2 near the town of Merritt, about 18 miles east of Stevens Pass.   There is a wide shoulder on both sides of the highway marked as a Chain Up area.   The falls can be easily seen to the south from there.
