Boulder Creek Falls is a small, but very powerful waterfall located a little north of Winthrop. The falls plunge 16' in a super powerful waterfall into a semi-man made pool. Someone has made a small dam out of branches to help pool the water up. This seems to be for the purpose of creating a swimming hole. It's been a couple years since I last visited, so maybe the "dam" is gone. This isn't a spectacular waterfall, but it's easy enough to get to (if you can find the right pull-out) so if you're in Winthrop visiting Falls Creek Falls, this is a nice little side trip. |
DIRECTIONS - From Winthrop, drive north onto Chewuch River Road for 6.8
miles. Turn right onto East Chewuch Road and then left onto FR 37.
Take a right at the fork. Two miles after turning onto 37 park at the
pull-out. You might have to do a little scrambling to get a clear
view. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Falls Creek Falls |
