SANDY CREEK AREA Sandy Creek heads on the south-east side of Mt. Baker in the Squak Glacier and then continues running in a southeast direction to Baker Lake. The Squak Glacier Falls can be seen distantly from just off the Scott Paul Trail. All the other waterfalls along Sandy Creek involve very extensive bushwhacks to reach. An interesting duo is Sandy Creek Falls and nearby Little Sandy Falls. Sandy Creek Falls drops about 25' in a beautiful waterfall on the large volume creek while Little Sandy Falls plunges around 200' on small volume Little Sandy Creek. Both waterfalls are extremely difficult to reach however. Click on the red-named waterfalls to get more information about them. |
