Well, they don't get much prettier than this one. Sandy Creek drops about 25' into a gorgeous blue-green pool located in a dark grotto. The area is surrounded by moss-covered boulders and tree lined cliffs. Upstream from the main drop is another small tier (maybe 10' tall), but I didn't bother including it in the overall height of the falls. It's not easy to get to this one but well worth the effort. |
DIRECTIONS - Drive north on Baker Lake Road to the Shadow of the Sentinels trailhead. In another half a mile will be a gated dirt road on the left. Park off the road (don't block the gate) and walk up the road for 3/4 of a mile to the Koma Kulshan Powerhouse. The falls are located a difficult half mile upstream from here. Best bet is probably to come in the summer and just walk up the creek but even that will be tough. | |
