Cascade Falls is located in Moran
State Park where Cascade Creek drops down from Mountain Lake to the Puget
Sound. Along the route, the creek drops over no fewer than 5 waterfalls.
Visitors can walk right up to Cascade Falls and even take a shower in it
should the need arise. I've always had a difficult time getting good
pictures of the falls because the area around it is open and the lighting
always seems to be bad. |
DIRECTIONS - Take
the ferry to Orcas Island. Upon disembarking, turn left and drive along the road for
around 25 minutes until you enter Moran State Park. After passing Cascade Lake, take
the left fork in the road and drive for about 1/2 mile to the trailhead for this and 4
other falls. The trail is around 1.5 miles to see all of the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Cavern Falls, Hidden Falls, Lower Cascade Falls, Rosario Falls, Rustic Falls |
