The Topo maps show a waterfall between Upper and Lower Greider Lakes. The lakes are only 12' difference in elevation so the tallest this falls could be is 12'. I found this series of cascades at the outlet to Upper Greider Lake. I don't know if this is supposed to be the falls or not. If it isn't, the "falls" only have about 2 more feet to drop before they reach the Lower Lake. Go figure. The hike into the lakes is worth it though. The two lakes are absolutely beautiful so don't let this "waterfall" discourage you. There is another water at the outlet of the Lower Lake and finally Greider Falls itself, which appears to be much more impressive but can't be seen very well from above. |
DIRECTIONS - Drive
East of Everett on Highway 2. In the town of Sultan, turn left onto Sultan Basin
Road. Sign in at Olney Pass and take the right hand road to the Greider Lakes
Trailhead. The trail follows the old road for about 2 miles until it
reaches the old trailhead. From there, it's a difficult 2 miles up to
the lakes. The "falls" are at the outlet of Upper Greider Lake. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Greider Falls, Upper Greider Falls |
