MIDDLE LITTLE OLSON FALLS |
RATING - 18.0
|
The
Cow Heaven Trail climbs nearly 4000' in elevation from Marblemount to the
meadows above. The first half of the trail follows Little Olson Creek.
The creek is gorgeous and features a variety of beautiful drops through
mossy boulders. There are also three legitimate waterfalls along the
route. Middle Little Olson Falls is a super pretty set of cascades, surrounded by ferns, moss, and evergreen trees. The main drop is 24' tall and the total height of the cascades is 39'. I certainly wouldn't recommend hiking the trail just to see this waterfall, but if you're already on the trail it's worth taking a look. About 1/2 a mile up the trail from here is Upper Little Olson Falls, which for some reason I forgot to take a picture of, but it can be seen from a switchback in the trail. |

DIRECTIONS - From Little Olson Falls, continue along
the trail for a couple more switchbacks. You should see an obscure
path leading off from the corner towards the creek. Follow this to a
view of the cascades. The trail later crosses right above the
cascades. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Little Olson Falls |
