SWIFT CREEK FALLS |
RATING - 50.0
|
Swift Creek Falls is a large waterfall located in an extremely deep, rugged, tree-lined canyon on the east side of Mt. Baker. The falls appear to contain a large plunge around 100' in height that ends in a nice pool of water. Below there it looks like the creek continues to run through a series of small bedrock drops. When attempting to view the falls in 2016, the view above was the best that I could find. It shows the bottom 40-50' of the main drop. Even getting this view involved standing at the edge of the 400' deep canyon and peeking through a tiny hole in the trees. If it were possible to view this waterfall easily it would probably be one of the best on Baker, but until a safe way to view it can be found we are out of luck. |
