Clear
Creek is a large volume creek with a fairly impressive waterfall along its
route. The waterfall begins with a pretty 16' tall cascade into a
gorgeous pool of clear green water. Clear Creek continues to cascade
as it leaves the pool, splitting into two channels. The creek then
plunges over a very impressive 43' tall punchbowl into another deep,
beautiful pool. The other segment of the waterfall occurs about 100'
to the left and falls at such an angle that it can't be seen without
crossing the creek. The total height of the waterfall is 68'. While this certainly isn't the
prettiest waterfall around, it is very powerful and quite impressive.
Add in the relative ease of access and a couple other waterfalls in the
immediate area and this is a nice spot to visit. |
DIRECTIONS - Follow
the directions to Asbestos Creek Falls. Drive a short distance further down the road
to where it makes a right hand turn fairly close to the creek. Climb down the
hillside towards the creek until you see the falls. It's possible to reach the creek
if you don't mind doing some steep climbing. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Asbestos Creek Falls, Bornite Falls |
