This waterfall is marked on all the outdoors maps of the area. The falls occur where large volume Canyon Creek tumbles for about 10 vertical feet just upstream from a bridge. When the creek is running high, this is a fairly impressive drop, and worth the 1 mile drive if you're in the area. There is a small park with a little playground near the waterfall. This area used to be pretty sketchy, but the neighborhood seems to have improved over the last couple of years. |
DIRECTIONS - Drive east on the Mountain Loop Highway for about a mile from
Granite Falls. Turn left onto Canyon Road and
follow it for around a mile. Park at the small pullout just before the
bridge over Canyon Creek. The falls can be seen from the bridge. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Granite Falls |
