Eagle Falls occurs where the Skykomish River drops 28' into a really cool gorge. The river has cut the rocks into a wide variety of holes, swirls, and stair steps that the kids will really enjoy climbing around on. The sun usually shines right on the falls, making it difficult to photograph. |
DIRECTIONS - Drive
east Highway 2 for about 4 miles past the town of Index. Park at a big pullout on
the south side of the highway near mile marker 39. A short trail leads to views of
the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Bridal Veil Falls, Klinger Grotto Falls |
