I had always sort of suspected there was a waterfall of some sort on El Dorado Creek based on the fact that every other creek in the area has a waterfall. I finally spotted part of what is surely a much taller waterfall. From the road, you can see a very tall, fan shaped drop that appears to be somewhere around 60' tall. To the left, a second stream drops over a waterfall as well (below). From what I can tell right now, the two creeks combine at the bottom of these two drops and continue waterfalling their way down the mountainside. This is based on topographic maps and aerial imagery. The view from the road is basically an afterthought, but if a closer view were possible (it probably is with enough work), this has the potential to be a great waterfall.

DIRECTIONS - Take
HWY 20 east to the Cascade River Road. At around 20 miles from Highway
20, you should see Roush Creek Falls through the trees. Continue along
the road for another 1/2 a mile or so, keeping your eyes high on the cliffs
on the opposite side of the river. You should get a glimpse of the top
of the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Roush Creek Falls, Torment Falls |
