About 1/3 of a mile downstream from the popular North Fork Falls, the Sauk River dumps over another powerful waterfall that is rarely seen.  The river spreads out about 50' wide and drops over a ledge into a pool creating an amazing amount of spray in the process.  There is actually an upper tier about 10' tall just above the main drop bringing the total to somewhere around 60'.  It's not ridiculously difficult to get to from North Fork Falls, so if you're planning on visiting that one you might try to get to this one as well.  Click here to see a short video of the falls.

DIRECTIONS -   Follow the directions for North Fork Falls.  The Lower Falls is downstream around the corner.  To get there, head into the woods to the right of the river.  You must climb way over the hillside and then way back down the other side.  The woods is fairly clear through here but the hillside is steep.
