SMC Falls is fairly well known by those who frequent the Snoqualmie Tree Farm. The Lower Falls was not really known of until recently but it is very deserving. The creek drops over a 55' tall plunge into a log-choked pool before continue down to join the North Fork. The creek drops a ton between SMC Falls and the Lower Falls, so I suspect there may be at least one more waterfall in there somewhere. |
DIRECTIONS - From
North Bend, turn north onto Ballarat Ave, which changes to 428th Ave, and then North Fork
Rd. Two miles after crossing the river, take the left at a Y in the road. In
4 miles, pass the Spur 10 gate. Park here and start riding your bike down the Spur
11 road towards the North Fork. After crossing the river, turn right and follow this
road for about 1.5 miles to a Y in the road. Take the gated, right hand road and
follow it for around 1/2 a mile to where the road crosses SMC Creek. The falls can
be seen through the trees. A clear view is possible by climbing up the right side of
the creek. Beginning on 1/1/2012, all visitors to the Snoqualmie Tree
Farm will need a $75 annual permit, making access to this waterfall much
more expensive. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Junction Falls, Old Spur Falls, Rachor Falls, SMC Falls, Tailrace Falls |
