May Creek is most famous for the awesome Isabel Falls that occurs just below the lake, but there are several smaller waterfalls downstream as well. This one is the furthest downstream and, as of 2017, is the most difficult of the three to view as the old trail is being forgotten, replaced by a long slog up a logging road. This is a shame because, while the waterfall is not tremendously impressive, it's incredibly beautiful. May Creek Falls is a series of small drops through a gorgeous, moss-lined canyon. None of the individual drops are all that large, but when you add them all together you end up with a 71' total height.

| DIRECTIONS - Getting to May Creek Falls is quite an adventure. I would recommend visiting Lake Isabel first, and then if you're still up for more fun, visit Upper and Middle May Creek Falls before finding the old trail and following it downhill to this waterfall. To get back to the car just continue down the trail until it eventually runs into an old road. Turn left on the road and you'll end up at the first 3-way intersection on the logging road. I had a heck of a time finding the old trail from the logging road when I went uphill. |
