RATING - 12.0
VR - 2 (Small) HR - 4.0 SR - 4/20 TYPE OF APPROACH - Roadwalk DIFFICULTY - Medium LOCATION - Spada Lake Area TYPE - Tiered HEIGHT - 80' WIDTH - 10' |
McCarty Falls drops about 80' in three tiers. Only the lowermost tier right next to the road can be seen easily. The uppermost tier drops about 40' in a 15' wide curtain of water. Below this, the creek horsetails another 20' before cascading down the 15' tall tier right next to the road. The upper tier is extremely difficult to get a clear view of. I'd recommend just taking a look at the bottom tier as you walk by.

DIRECTIONS - From Sultan, head north on Sultan River Road to Spada Lake.
Take the right hand fork at Olney Pass and head towards the Greider Lakes
Trailhead. Just before the trailhead, you will see a barricaded road
heading uphill to the right. Park and follow this water barred road
for about 1/2 a mile to where the falls drop next to the road. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Bear Creek Falls, Lower Bear Creek Falls, Middle Bear Creek Falls |
