east along I-90 to the Snoqualmie Pass Exit #52. Turn left towards the Alpental Ski
Area and park in the lot. The falls can be seen from here, furthest to the left and

Staircase Falls is one
of several falls that drop off the cliffs north of the Alpental Ski Area. This one
stands out from the other smaller falls because of its unique stair step appearance.
Views from the base are fairly easy to come by if you take the trail across the road from
the parking lot and follow it up a short distance.
