Whatcom Falls is located just outside of Bellingham in the park that bears its name. It is one of 5 falls in the park. The falls are viewed from a beautiful old arch bridge that spans Whatcom Creek. A side trail even leads to views from directly atop the falls if you are so inclined. It is also possible to make it down to the creek below the bridge when the water level is lower for some unique views. |
DIRECTIONS - Take
I-5 to Bellingham and exit on Lakeway drive. At the stop sign turn right, then left
at the light. Follow Lakeway for 2 miles to Whatcom Falls Park (the park is well
signed). Park by the fish hatchery and walk a couple hundred feet to the bridge
near the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Lower Whatcom Falls, Middle Whatcom Falls, Upper Whatcom Falls, Whirlpool Falls |
