The first three times I drove up Finney Creek Road, this rock face had two tiny trickles of water coming down it. I didn't feel it was worth a picture at the time, but thought it might look alright if there was more water. When I went back up the 4th time after three days of rain showers, I was shocked to find this mammoth display of water. Turns out that tiny trickle of water turns into a huge fan-type waterfall when it's running high. It's 129' tall and 48' wide dropping literally right next to the road. The road is very narrow making photographing the falls pretty tough. You really can't get an idea of the size of this falls from the pictures, but it's big. Angel Falls were named by the Janicki family who discovered gold on Finney Creek many years ago. I used to call this one Jeckyl & Hyde Falls.

DIRECTIONS - Follow
the directions to Big Fir Falls. Continue along Finney
Creek Road for a few more miles until you see the falls right next to the road. If
it's during the wet season your car will get a little bath. If it's dry, you'll just
see a few streams of water trickling down. Hope for wet! NEARBY WATERFALLS - Big Fir Falls, Devil Falls, Washington Falls |
