GOLDEN POOL FALLS |
RATING - 24.0
|
While Olney Creek has lost a lot of its volume by this point, the smaller stream runs through a beautiful canyon with at least three small waterfalls in it. I was only able to clearly view two of these three on my first trip into the area. Golden Pool Falls occurs when the creek exits the canyon and enters the flatter, wider part of the valley. The falls drop over a series of cascades for 36' before dumping into a deep, beautiful pool of water, tinted blue by what I believe is tanic acid. The canyon is only a few feet wide at this point. |
