Huckleberry Falls has a total of four tiers. The top three tiers are each around 50' tall. The bottom tier is a beautiful 250' horsetail drop that splits in two part of the way down. I was able to reach the base of the falls (and even took a shower to cool myself down), but the pictures from there were not very good. The best shots are from further back, but the base of the falls is blocked by trees from there. There's not a whole lot you can do about that. Even with the view blocked, this is a wonderful waterfall with plenty of character. Later in the summer, the falls become much less impressive and may even dry out completely so catch this one during the spring melt to really enjoy it. |
DIRECTIONS - From
Rockport, head south on HWY 530 and turn onto the Suiattle River Road (FR 26).
Follow the road for 4 miles to where it goes over two concrete culverts. You're
looking for the second one. The falls can usually be seen from the road but it's not
a good view. Head upstream through the woods to the right of the creek to get
closer. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Bryson Falls, Lower Suiattle Falls, Petticoat Falls, Suiattle Falls, Teepee Falls, Uproot Falls |
