LOWER MOROWITZ FALLS |

RATING - 16.8
VR - 1.8 (Small) HR - 6.0 SR - 6/20 TYPE OF APPROACH - Roadside DIFFICULTY - Very Easy LOCATION - Baker Lake Area TYPE - Cascades HEIGHT - 129' * WIDTH - 8' GPS - N48 45.583 W121 40.620 ELEVATION - 1606' |
The lower falls on Morowitz Creek is the taller, but lower quality of the two. The creek cascades 129' right next to the road. There are more cascades below the bridge that could probably be included in the overall height of the waterfall if one really wanted to. The cascades are mostly obscured by branches encroaching over the rock face and there are several large, ugly trees that have dropped down on the right side of the falls. This waterfall is worth a quick peek out the window if you happen to be driving past, but it's certainly not worth a trip just to see the waterfall.
