Sulphur
Creek is a beautiful creek located on the southeast side of Mt. Baker.
Along it's route are at least four waterfalls, this is the best of the
group, but unfortunately, it's the only one that can't be viewed easily.
The falls begin with a 55' plunge which is followed immediately by tiers of
25', 20' and a 10' plunge into a pretty pool. Below here, the creek
runs through a narrow gorge, sliding over several small, cascading drops.
As Sulphur Creek exits this gorge, it drops over two final drops of 15' and
10'. It may be possible to scramble upstream from here and get right
near the base of the main falls but I suspect the largest tier will not be
possible from there. As nice as this waterfall is, I'm going to
recommend leaving it alone since no clear view seems to be possible.

DIRECTIONS - Follow the directions to
Middle Sulphur Creek Falls. From here the going gets tough.
Continue downstream for another 800' or so to the top of the falls.
The only views I have been able to find are through the trees, perched high
above a steep canyon. The north side of the creek provides better
views but they still aren't good. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Lower Sulphur Creek Falls, Middle Sulphur Creek Falls, Upper Sulphur Creek Falls |
