RATING - 20.0
VR - 2 (Small) HR - 5 SR - 10/20 TYPE OF APPROACH - Trail DIFFICULTY - Fairly Difficult LOCATION - Taylor River Area TYPE - Horsetail HEIGHT - 85' WIDTH - 15' |
This pretty waterfall occurs where a small, possibly seasonal stream, drops about 85' into Marten Creek from the side of Dog Mountain. There is a good chance that the waterfall is much taller, but any upper tiers cannot be seen. The waterfall can be seen from the unofficial Marten Lake Trail through the trees, but a short bushwhack down the steep slopes of Marten Creek's canyon will enable slightly clearer views. Be careful if you attempt to get closer to the falls. The final drop to Marten Creek would be quite painful.
