While very difficult to find, Half Mile Falls is a really cool, unique waterfall.  The Boulder River roars around 35' and dumps into a massive pool that probably make a nice swimming hole in the summer.  There was another drop a little upstream that we saw through the trees from the canyon rim but couldn't get a clear view of.  The sun was blazing right over the falls making photography tricky.   In better conditions, this could be a very photogenic falls.

DIRECTIONS - Drive east of Arlington on HWY 530 for 19 miles to French Creek Road.  Park about a mile before the trailhead at a gated logging road on the right.  Walk up this road for about 3/4 of a mile, taking the left at the Y and then jump into the woods.  Climb over the hill and down to the other side towards the river.  If you hit the edge of the canyon head downstream, if you come to the river below the canyon wade upstream to the falls.   There's really no easy way to get to this one so make sure you have a GPS with you so you don't get lost.
