You'll have to cut me a little slack on the name of this one. Located nearby is Goblin Falls, named by Bryan Swan because it drops off of Big Devil Peak. In keeping with that theme, I have proposed the rather lackluster name of Hobbit Falls for this one. I'm certainly open to suggestions for a better name though. |
DIRECTIONS - Follow
the directions to Irene Creek Falls.
Hobbit Falls is located a short distance upstream on the creek that the road
crosses over at this point. To view the lower part, just scramble up
the creek bed. You might get your feet wet but it's nothing too awful.
To see the upper part requires a more difficult climb through the woods.
Get on top of the ridge on the west side of the creek and stay there until
you get above the bottom tier of the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Barrett Creek Falls, Forest Glen Falls, Goblin Falls, Hard Creek Falls, Irene Creek Falls, Lower Forest Glen Falls, Mystery Falls |
