Hogsback Falls takes place on the West Fork of Heliotrope Creek and cascades about 125' amid flower-covered hillsides. On my hike into the falls in 2011, most of the waterfall was still covered with a pile of snow but the flowers were in full bloom. Like most of the other waterfalls in the area, the view of Hogsback Falls pales in comparison to the view of Mt. Baker. Come for the mountain views, but check out the waterfalls while you're there. |
DIRECTIONS - Follow the Heliotrope Ridge Trail for about two miles until it
cross the West Fork of Heliotrope Creek. The falls can be seen
upstream from here. Closer views can be had by taking the Climbers'
Trail up the Hogsback. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Eldridge Falls, Heliotrope Falls, Kulshan Falls, Rock Gnome Falls, Roosevelt Falls, Smith Creek Falls, Tennant Falls, Twin Falls |
