Mt. Baker Recreation Area

The Mt. Baker Rec Area is a popular destination both in summer and winter.  During the snow season, snow-mobilers by the thousand flock to the area.  Once the snow melts in mid-summer, a different crowd occupies the area, hiking the popular Screiber's Meadow Trail as well as a few other trails in the area.  There are several waterfalls in the vacinity.  Many can be seen from trails, but require off-trail travel to view up close.  Come in the autumn when the berries are ripe, the snow is gone, and the weather is perfect.
