This is the best of the three small waterfalls located on Copper Creek as it nears the Foss River. Here Copper Creek spreads out and tumbles down a 3-tiered waterfall, surrounded by all things green and forest-y. There is an upper falls upstream a short distance that I did not have the energy to visit on my first trip to the area. I'll return in the future for the upper falls as well as Malachite Falls further upstream. The falls look shorter than the 84' due to a significant amount of foreshortening. |
DIRECTIONS - Follow the directions to
Shoestring Falls. Continue along the trail, passing Trout Lake at
about a mile and a half. Shortly after leaving the lake the trail
comes to Copper Creek. Leave the main trail here and follow a series
of boot paths steeply down the hill for about 100' to the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Lower Copper Creek Falls, Lower Foss River Falls, Malachite Falls, Shoestring Falls, Upper Foss River Falls |
