Sygitowicz Falls consists of three tiers.  The top tier is probably around 75' tall, the middle tier about the same, and the bottom tier is around 150-175' tall.  On my trip into the base of the falls, the water level in the creek was pretty low, but the falls were still very impressive.   From the base all that can be seen is the bottom tier and a little of the middle tier.  These falls are on Private Property so bushwhacking to the base is not recommended.  When the creek is running high (which is rare), the falls can be seen from Highway 9 near a small Christmas tree farm.  Most of the time, the creek is dry or very close to it, due to a small hydroelectric facility that draws off most of the water, turning what could be a great waterfall into an afterthought.

DIRECTIONS - Take HWY 9 to the town of Van Zandt and turn east on Nelson Road.  From here the falls can be seen across the valley.  It is possible to reach the base of the falls, but this requires trespassing on private property.
