Tinling Falls occurs on a very small stream on the eastern side of the South Fork Valley. The falls are almost impossible to view due to being on private property and a bunch of trees blocking the view. This stream is really small too so it's not a huge loss but I'm still trying to get permission to get some better pictures. I probably wouldn't even include this waterfall on the website but it is marked on most maps by name so at one point is was apparently a prominent feature in the area. |
DIRECTIONS - Drive
along Highway 9 and turn east onto Strand Road a mile or so south of the town of Van
Zandt. The falls are on private property almost straight ahead of where the road
turns to the right. You can see the bottom tier of the falls through the trees and a
higher section from further down Strand Road. I've knocked on the door a couple
times to try to get closer to the falls but no one has been home. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Hard Scrabble Falls, Middle Standard Falls, Potter Falls, Standard Falls, Sygitowicz Falls, Upper Standard Falls, Van Zandt Falls |
