Van Zandt Area

Van Zandt is a tiny town located in the South Fork Nooksack Valley.  The valley lies between Van Zandt Dike on the east, and Anderson Mountain on the west.  Virtually every creek that runs off these mountains contains a waterfall; the problem is getting to them. Many of the falls are located up private logging roads requiring long walks to reach.  This includes Anderson Falls, which is the best of the waterfalls in the area.  The streams are generally very small so by late summer they are often dry or very close to it.
