SWIFT CREEK AREA The Swift Creek drainage contains one of the largest collection of waterfalls in the Mt. Baker area. Unfortunately, most of them can only be seen via cross-valley views or by partaking in long, difficult bushwhacks. The effort is worth it for waterfall fanatics as the drainage contains some of the best waterfalls in the area, including the tallest waterfall around Mt. Baker, Ptarmigan Falls. Some of these waterfalls can be approached closely by hiking the seldom used Swift Creek Trail and others can be closely approached by bushwhacking from the trail.
