Wells Creek Area

Wells Creek proper begins in the drainage on the north side of the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail.  Several creeks join together and drop over massive Mazama Falls a short distance downstream.  Wells Creek eventually joins the Nooksack River at the base of Nooksack Falls, being joined by Bar and Sholes Creeks in the process and dropping over three waterfalls after that convergence.  The area around Wells Creek has a large concentration of waterfalls, probably the largest of any drainage on Mt. Baker.
